Backend Developer (Python)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Python services and APIs for registration, booking, and visitor personal accounts.
• Build and own server-side integrations with advertising platforms, including Meta CAPI and TikTok Events API, covering event delivery, deduplication, retries, and monitoring.
• Own backend attribution, including visit tracking, UTM persistence, and investigation of visitor-to-lead and visitor-to-booking data gaps.
• Improve service performance and reliability through caching, query optimization, and debugging server-side rendering in the Node.js/Express layer.
• Investigate production incidents using Sentry and support server-side A/B testing with feature flags, rollouts, and experiment cleanup.
• Deliver frontend changes in React and TypeScript when features require end-to-end implementation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production backend development in Python, including services designed, shipped, and supported independently in production.
• Strong backend fundamentals covering API design, relational databases and SQL, caching, background jobs, and third-party API integrations including authentication, rate limits, retries, and idempotency.
• Production debugging experience with logs and error tracking, including root-cause analysis.
• Comfortable reading and changing Node.js and Express services.
• Working TypeScript and React skills sufficient to deliver features end to end; expert level is not required.
• Understanding of how tracking data travels from click to report and ability to identify where it is lost.
• Product mindset focused on metrics and hypotheses rather than tickets alone.
• Fluent English.

Nice to have

• Server-side conversion tracking, including CAPI, Events API, or server-side GTM.
• BigQuery experience for validating hypotheses with data.
• CDN and edge caching experience with CloudFront or similar technologies.
• Experience with GDPR and consent mechanisms.
• End-to-end testing with Playwright or Cypress.
