Internships Equity Capital Markets

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; internships are in person at ING's Amsterdam office, with hybrid working available. Candidates are expected to reside in the Netherlands. During the internship, enrollment at a Dutch university is mandatory, except for EU passport holders enrolled at a European university.

Internship allowance: EUR 700 based on a 36-hour work week.

Company

ING's Equity Capital Markets team advises companies, financial sponsors and governments on raising equity capital through global equity and equity-linked transactions.

What you will do

• Support client pitches and transaction origination through market intelligence, valuation analysis and real-time data.
• Track equity markets and prepare market updates, presentations and analyses on companies, sectors and transactions.
• Assist with preparing, structuring and executing global ECM transactions, including pre-marketing and pre-launch activities.
• For the ECM Syndicate internship, analyse investor feedback, broker commentary and market developments.
• For the ECM Syndicate internship, support bookbuilding, demand analysis, pricing, allocation, share buybacks, disposal transactions and deal administration.
• Coordinate with Equity Research, Equity Sales, Equity Sales Trading, Corporate Access, Corporate Finance, Financial Markets and other internal teams.

Requirements

• Be an ambitious and curious research-university student pursuing a Master's degree or in the final year of a Bachelor's degree.
• Be enrolled at a Dutch research university for the entire internship, or, if holding an EU passport, at a European university.
• Have strong academic results and a background in Economics, Econometrics, Finance, STEM or a related field.
• Be passionate about equities and capital markets.
• Have strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, sound judgement and excellent attention to detail.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be an energetic, proactive team player willing to go the extra mile.
• Be fluent in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Dutch.
• A preference for either the Origination & Execution or ECM Syndicate internship may be indicated in the application.

Hiring process
