Frontend Developer (React)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid work with 8–10 in-office days per month

What you will do

• Develop and maintain high-quality frontend digital solutions and reusable components for web applications.
• Improve usability, performance, scalability, maintainability, reliability, and overall quality across digital products.
• Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, solution definition, development, testing, deployment, and continuous product evolution.
• Build modern frontend architectures, including micro-frontends, and integrate applications with backend services through APIs and web services.
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, engineering standards, CI/CD practices, and automation.
• Contribute to Agile planning, refinement, development, delivery, troubleshooting, and frontend standards across a cross-functional multicultural team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of professional frontend development experience, preferably in complex enterprise environments and large-scale digital solutions.
• Strong hands-on expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, and CSS3, using modern component-based development principles.
• Experience with micro-frontends, reusable components, modularity, scalability, and maintainability.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, web services, and microservices architectures, including frontend integration with backend services.
• Hands-on experience with Git, npm, Webpack, and ESLint, following collaborative development and code-quality practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated build, testing, deployment processes, and cloud-based environments.
• Strong understanding of unit and integration testing, UX/UI principles, responsive design, usability, and software quality.
• Experience working in Agile environments, particularly Scrum and/or SAFe; ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, solve problems analytically, and manage priorities independently.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and continuous evolution.
• Fluent written and spoken English at C1 level.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Flutter for cross-platform mobile development.
• Knowledge of Node.js and NestJS for broader end-to-end application development.
