PhD Research Interns (Generative 3D AI)

Location: On-site in Munich, Germany or London, United Kingdom.

Develops generative AI and computer vision World Models that understand the physics and geometry of the real world and generate physically grounded 3D environments for robotics, AR/VR, gaming, and cinema.

What you will do

• Explore novel research directions in 3D generation, 3D reconstruction, and World Models.
• Design, implement, and evaluate state-of-the-art methods, translating research ideas into working systems and prototypes.
• Own a well-defined research question during a 5–7 month internship with the goal of publishing a paper.
• Work closely with the research team and present research findings.
• Contribute to scientific publications targeting leading computer vision, computer graphics, and machine learning conferences, including CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, SIGGRAPH, NeurIPS, and ICLR.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in the third year or beyond of a PhD in computer science, computer vision, computer graphics, machine learning, or a related field.
• 2–3 first-author papers at top-tier conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, SIGGRAPH, NeurIPS, or ICLR.
• Strong knowledge of at least one core area: generative models, including diffusion or video models; neural scene representations; or 3D reconstruction.
