CIS Technician Paderborn (m/f/d) (CIS)

Location: Paderborn, Germany; occasional travel to other hirify.global locations and military exercises.

What you will do

• Plan and prepare Communication and Information Systems (CIS) and Exercise Control (ExCon) equipment, including packing, configuration, and testing.
• Conduct corrective and preventative maintenance of CIS/ExCon equipment.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and helpdesk support to field teams.
• Train and support Field Technicians in equipment operation, including telescopic mast work and maintenance.
• Provide technical support during military exercises, including setup, teardown, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Instruct users, coordinate day-to-day CIS Technician support, and travel occasionally to other locations and exercises.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an IT, CIS, communications, or technical support environment.
• Good understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft products.
• Good understanding of computer networking and basic network troubleshooting.
• Technical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• C2+ English language skills, written and spoken, are essential, with the ability to communicate confidently with military and civilian personnel.
• Full driving licence or EU driving licence, Category B.
• Willingness to travel.

Nice to have

• Previous experience working with Communication and Information Systems.
• Previous experience supporting military training or exercises.
• German language knowledge.
• Forklift operating licence.
