TL;DR
Accountant (Finance Operations): Overseeing P2P and O2C finance operations across Asia, primarily covering Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, with an accent on accounting controls, compliance, Korean VAT, and operational efficiency. Focus on managing invoice, payment, billing, receivables, collections, and credit processes, guiding BPO operations, and improving standardized finance workflows through data and automation.

Location: Seoul, South Korea; flexible hybrid working environment combining office-based and remote work.

What you will do

  • Oversee P2P operations across Asia, including invoice and payment processes, accounting, compliance, and financial controls.
  • Oversee O2C operations covering billing, accounts receivable, collections, and credit management.
  • Guide BPO-delivered P2P and O2C operations through process support, documentation, execution monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Improve operational quality and efficiency by standardizing processes, using data, and exploring automation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with overseas offices, global teams, business functions, and other regions on operational improvements and cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance operations, with strong knowledge of O2C/AR, P2P/AP processes, and Korean VAT.
  • Practical SAP experience in a finance environment.
  • Strong ownership and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate issues and drive them through resolution.
  • Effective English communication skills for collaboration with business teams, BPO partners, and regional and global stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of domestic and international internal and external stakeholders and collaborate on problem-solving.

Nice to have

  • Experience overseeing outsourced finance operations or working with BPO or shared-service organizations.
  • Experience in a regional or multinational finance environment, including intercompany or cross-border operations.
  • Experience participating in finance transformation, system implementation, or process improvement projects.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting using Excel, BI tools, or similar applications.
  • Japanese language skills.
