Senior Process Engineer (Coating)

Salary: $92,300–$138,400 per year

What you will do

• Support day-to-day coating operations by developing robust processes and process control parameters for consistent results.
• Troubleshoot production coating issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop process control strategies, data collection systems, and capacity models for monitoring and improving operations.
• Ensure processes comply with applicable process safety codes and standards.
• Lead engineering changes, documentation, technical communications, design reviews, and new product introduction activities.
• Collaborate with process engineers across Plug operations, mentor team members, and technically review supplier quotations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline preferred and/or relevant work experience.
• 5–10 years of experience in process engineering.
• Experience documenting and developing robust process control methods.
• Proven track record of helping drive manufacturing improvement projects.
• Familiarity with applicable functional safety standards.
• Strong analytical thinking, structured working methods, ability to explain and document processes, and ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Dedication to product quality and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced engineering organization.
