Streaming Host/Digital Producer

Location: DC-Washington, 2121 Wisconsin Ave NW; onsite

Compensation: $30–$33 per hour, based on experience

hirify.global operates DC News Now, producing news content for streaming, digital, social, and linear platforms.

What you will do

• Produce original, audience-first programming for DC News Now streaming apps.
• Tell stories from communities throughout the D.C. area through videos, social media posts, live streams, and digital articles.
• Monitor social chatter and trending stories using Chartbeat, Google Trends, and social media platforms, and report findings to the newsroom.
• Report breaking news on streaming and digital platforms; produce, shoot, and/or edit video content.
• Apply copy editing, SEO, Generative Engine Optimization, website and app management, push notifications, and advanced social media practices.
• Coordinate with producers, photojournalists, anchors, reporters, and other newsroom staff while using analytics to inform editorial decisions and maintaining journalistic integrity.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in streaming and/or digital content production, including on-camera work, preferred.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Video editing experience.
• High standards of professionalism and accuracy.
• Audience-focused and solution-oriented approach.
• Positive outlook and ability to work in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with OBS and/or vMix.
