Senior Data Engineer (SaaS)

What you will do

• Build the enterprise Data Lake and end-to-end data capabilities from data ingestion to reporting.
• Establish data engineering best practices and support the organization’s transition to data-driven decision-making.
• Evolve data architecture by defining structural requirements and developing and installing solutions.
• Build and extend data lakes and data warehouses based on structural requirements and analysis.
• Test and maintain databases to ensure long-term efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering and Big Data.
• Professional experience with ETL development or similar areas.
• Advanced knowledge of database engines, data lakes, data practices, and policies.
• In-depth understanding of database structures, integration, ETL, ELT, data processing, and data management.
• Expertise with data warehouse and data lake technologies, including Vertica, Greenplum, Cloudera ecosystems, Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi, Apache Spark, and Impala.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Java, Scala, and SQL.
• Experience assembling large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Experience building infrastructure for optimal data extraction, transformation, and loading from a wide range of source technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Analytical skills and strong organizational abilities.
