Senior Business Systems Engineer (NetSuite)

Location: Remote - United States. Candidates residing in Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, South Dakota, West Virginia, or Wisconsin are not being considered.

Salary: Region 1 $172,000–$203,000; Region 2 $158,000–$187,000; Region 3 $147,000–$174,000 per year, depending on US location and qualifications.

What you will do

• Define, document, and execute NetSuite development tasks in an Agile process managed through Atlassian Jira.
• Deliver maintainable SuiteScript designs and code focused on root-cause fixes and software development best practices.
• Design and implement unit, integration, and regression test coverage and help establish team-wide delivery standards.
• Use AI-assisted and agentic development tools for SuiteScript, integrations, and testing while defining standards for review, release, and SOX/ITGC evidence.
• Create reusable architecture records, coding standards, and integration documentation; audit and govern NetSuite roles, permissions, workflows, bundles, and configuration with the NetSuite Administrator.
• Develop and support scalable integrations between NetSuite and other business systems, collaborating with users in Supply Chain & Logistics, Financial Systems, and Member Experience.

Requirements

• 4+ years of NetSuite development and/or administration experience.
• Experience working in an Agile methodology and task management system.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite script types including User Event, Client, Map/Reduce, Suitelet, and RESTlet.
• Experience writing automated tests in any language or framework.
• Hands-on daily experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot, with judgment to trust, verify, or reject generated output.
• Understanding of Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, other core business processes, and basic accounting principles.
• Extensive integration experience with iPaaS, APIs, or direct point-to-point integrations, including understanding of system authentication methods.
• Comfort with NetSuite roles, permissions, saved searches, and other configuration or administration functions.
• Attention to detail, a strong analytical mindset, and excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to challenge unsustainable scope or timelines.
