Regional Field Inspection Manager (Automotive)

Location: Remote from the Toronto area, with regular travel to dealerships and field locations within the assigned region.

Annual salary: CAD 90,000–120,000. Target annual bonus: CAD 13,500–18,000.

What you will do

• Lead inspection operations across the assigned region, maintaining quality, productivity, capacity, and service reliability.
• Manage and develop inspectors through goal-setting, coaching, performance reviews, and corrective action.
• Partner with regional inspection leads to run performance cadences using scorecards, field observations, and operational data.
• Lead regional workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, and training to align coverage with dealer demand.
• Coordinate with Sales, Scheduling, Quality Assurance, Arbitration, Product, and Technology to resolve service issues and recurring defects.
• Standardize practices across markets and report operational risks with owners, mitigation plans, and timelines.

Requirements

• 3+ years of operations management, field operations, or related leadership experience.
• Experience managing employees across multiple locations or markets.
• Experience setting expectations, coaching performance, and holding teams accountable.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use operational data to identify issues and drive action.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence without direct authority.
• Experience in automotive inspections, vehicle condition reporting, or a related automotive operations environment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly for field visits.
• Ability to work remotely from the Toronto area while supporting a multi-market regional operation.

• Experience managing a mix of full-time employees and contractors.

• Experience in automotive remarketing, vehicle inspections, or condition reporting.
• Experience with quality assurance, arbitration, or structured performance-management programs.
• Experience with scheduling, workforce-management, or field-service tools.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
