Senior Finance Operations Analyst - Express Scripts Canada

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; hybrid work with 2 days per week on-site. Enhanced Reliability Clearance from the Federal Government is a condition of employment.

Salary: CAD 75,000–85,000 per year.

What you will do

• Verify and post business transactions to journals, the general ledger, and other accounting records.
• Support the month-end closing process and analyze and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Provide backup support for Financial Operations activities, including revenue, expenses, inventory accounting, and indirect sales tax activities.
• Maintain complete and accurate files, documentation, and user procedural manuals in line with company policy and generally accepted accounting practices.
• Liaise with operations teams, business partners, and internal and external auditors to address accounting needs.
• Support finance-related projects as a subject matter expert or tester and assist with special assignments.

Requirements

• CPA designation completed or in the final stages of completion.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of multifaceted accounting or finance experience.
• Experience with enterprise financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics 365; Dynamics AX experience is considered a strong asset.
• Solid PC skills in Excel and Word.
• Strong financial acumen, analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, time-management, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, adapt to changing business needs, meet deadlines, and build effective working relationships.
• Collaborative approach, initiative, accountability, ownership, and commitment to shared business objectives.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in health care insurance, benefits, or the pharmacy industry.
• Dynamics AX experience.
