Fullstack Engineer (Vue/Python)

Location: Remote work from the Medellín, Colombia area; locations also listed as Bogotá, Colombia and Medellín, Colombia.

What you will do

• Implement user-facing features for the Linqia Platform using Vue.js, Vuex, and TypeScript.
• Translate business needs and user goals into intuitive, responsive user experiences in collaboration with product, design, and QA.
• Architect and implement scalable Python server-side applications, microservices, and RESTful API integrations.
• Write complex SQL queries with Trino or similar tools and optimize relational and non-relational databases.
• Write tested features, participate in code reviews, own code across the stack, and develop end-to-end integration tests.
• Stay current with technologies and industry trends to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years of experience as a software engineer or developer with both frontend and backend exposure.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript with TypeScript, Vue.js, Vuex or Pinia, and Webpack or Vite.
• Proficiency in Python and strong knowledge of building and integrating APIs with FastAPI.
• Strong SQL skills and knowledge of database optimization; relational and non-relational database experience is a plus.
• Experience with microservices architecture and familiarity with Git/GitHub.
• Frontend or fullstack experience in an Agile environment.
• Strong commitment to code quality, testing, and performance optimization.
• English proficiency is required. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills are also required.

Nice to have

• Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or further technical education or experience.
• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or similar cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Docker, Apache Kafka or other message queues and streaming platforms.
• Knowledge of caching mechanisms, performance optimization, performance testing, and profiling tools.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and LLM frameworks.
