macOS Engineer

What you will do

• Standardize and automate macOS device management for an expanding fleet of Apple devices.
• Develop Python, bash, and zsh scripts and tooling, optimize MDM systems, and integrate new tools and services.
• Manage, monitor, deploy, patch, and secure enterprise macOS devices.
• Troubleshoot macOS operating systems, applications, peripherals, network problems, and hardware performance issues.
• Collaborate with colleagues across three continents to understand business needs, develop solutions, share knowledge, and plan and execute deployments.
• Document technical work clearly and provide a high degree of customer service for support queries.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a technical engineering role managing, monitoring, and deploying macOS devices in an enterprise environment.
• Strong experience developing Python or bash/zsh automation scripts and tooling.
• Extensive experience managing macOS devices with an MDM platform such as Intune, Workspace One, or Jamf Pro.
• Understanding of macOS software distribution and patching technologies, plus knowledge of macOS security features and best practices.
• Experience managing Apple device lifecycles with Apple Business Manager.
• Experience integrating a variety of systems to fulfil business needs.
• Experience troubleshooting macOS operating systems, applications, peripherals, and network problems.
• Experience with hardware monitoring and performance tuning.
• Clear and concise communication, excellent people skills, and a high degree of customer service for support queries.
• Flexibility, reliability, collaboration, self-motivation, good judgement, and the ability to drive projects forward when colleagues in other offices are offline.
• Fluent English.
