QA Engineer (AI)

Location: Lisbon, Porto, Braga, or Coimbra, Portugal; hybrid work with 2 days per week at the office.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases for functional and non-functional requirements.
• Build and maintain UI test automation frameworks with Selenium and API test automation with Newman.
• Plan and execute load and stress tests with JMeter based on non-functional requirements.
• Analyze performance results, identify bottlenecks, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to support early defect detection and continuous quality.
• Apply AI-driven techniques for test case generation, optimization, and defect prediction; manage defects, documentation, and requirements traceability.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with JMeter for performance testing is mandatory.
• Proven experience designing and executing automation frameworks for UI with Selenium and API testing with Newman.
• Solid experience with functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Experience applying AI-assisted testing techniques and tools to improve test efficiency and coverage.
• Ability to design load, stress, and scalability tests from non-functional requirements.
• Strong skills in defect management, test documentation, and requirements analysis.
• ISTQB Certification or an equivalent quality assurance certification.
• Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's and Master's degrees with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• English proficiency at B2 level or above.
