Master’s Thesis Project – Novel Approaches for Characterization of Chromatography Resins (NMR)

What you will do

• Investigate and evaluate novel approaches for characterizing chromatography resins and agarose-based materials.
• Perform experimental laboratory work using NMR and complementary analytical techniques.
• Develop and optimize experimental methodologies and measurement protocols.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, explore suitable theoretical models, and compare results with established analytical approaches.
• Evaluate method performance, robustness, applicability, and suitability for resin characterization.
• Plan, execute, document, and present experiments and results in oral presentations and a written Master’s thesis.

Requirements

• Master’s student in physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, physics, or a related discipline.
• Interest in physical chemistry, porous materials, analytical characterization, experimental method development, and data analysis.
• Structured, driven, and comfortable working independently.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills.
• Comfortable communicating in English.
• All work must be conducted according to Cytiva policies and guidelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with NMR, spectroscopic methods, or materials characterization.
• Familiarity with scientific programming, scripting, or automation of data analysis.
• Knowledge of Swedish.
