Integration Support Engineer (EDI/API)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; onsite

Base salary: $118,800–$158,400 USD per year, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Support production integrations by monitoring and triaging inbound requests, owning investigations end to end, resolving high-priority incidents, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing permanent fixes or workarounds.
• Lead technical calls and communications with customers, third-party vendors, internal operations, business, Product, Engineering, Solutions Engineering, and Solutions Consulting teams.
• Improve integration and platform reliability, support processes, success rates, and SLA performance by identifying systemic bottlenecks and product inefficiencies.
• Serve as a technical expert for logistics data, EDI standards, Boomi, hirify.global APIs, and new and existing integrations.
• Transition integrations from build to support, contribute customer insights to the product roadmap, and educate users on integration best practices.
• Create and maintain charts and dashboards to monitor integration health, and share lessons learned with Ecosystem peers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 3–5 years of relevant experience in systems integration, technical support, or implementation engineering.
• Good knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and EDI standards.
• Comfort reading logs, querying databases, and understanding data flows through complex distributed systems.
• Experience with data analytics, data manipulation, systems integration, various data formats, and different connectivity methods.
• Experience with SQL and at least one scripting or programming language such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Groovy, or with integration platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft, or WebMethods.
• Experience with Postman, SQL clients, Looker or similar reporting tools, and AWS infrastructure including EC2, S3, and SQS.
• Experience using AI/LLMs to debug or triage issues and generate reports.
• Ability to support customer integrations, collaborate with internal teams and external partners, prioritize multiple tickets, meet support SLAs, and manage time effectively.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills, with a persistent, proactive, results-oriented mindset and willingness to learn the technical side of supply chain and logistics.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of logistics business logic including shipments, orders, and invoices, plus EDI sets such as 850, 856, 214, and 315.
• Certified or highly experienced with Boomi, MuleSoft, or Workato; Boomi experience is highly preferred.
