Senior Decision Scientist (Fraud Management)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands. Hybrid work with two recommended office days per week; remote work is available under the workation policy for up to 90 days per year in the EU, including up to 21 days globally.

Salary: €67,700–€91,500 gross annually, excluding 8% holiday pay.

What you will do

• Identify strategic opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations to product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Test and analyze opportunities using statistical methods and visualization tools to validate value and business impact.
• Select, calculate, and monitor key performance indicators, investigate issues, and determine root causes.
• Enable stakeholders to use data independently through self-service dashboards.
• Promote analytics and decision-making best practices across the organization.
• Co-create fraud detection improvements with Data Scientists, including evaluation of external fraud signals and post-pay fraud lifecycles.

Requirements

• Experience in Decision Science or Data Analytics.
• Experience in fraud prevention, Trust & Safety, or a related area.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and business-impact assessment skills.
• Familiarity with SQL and Python.
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Knowledge of A/B testing, regression analysis, and other inferential statistical techniques; fluent English required.
