Product Cybersecurity Engineer, Secure Product Engineering

Location: Hybrid in Milford or Warren, Michigan, United States; expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times per week.

What you will do

• Design, build, and mature secure engineering services and capabilities for vehicle software, mobile experiences, and other software and systems.
• Partner directly with product engineering teams to implement secure software and systems engineering practices.
• Implement and mature SAST, DAST, fuzzing, runtime security, and operating system security hardening.
• Perform in-depth secure code reviews and create reusable technical guidance, patterns, and guardrails.
• Build security tooling, mentor engineers, and help scale secure engineering practices across the product portfolio.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, application security, product security, or a similar field.
• Strong experience with application security, secure software engineering, SAST, DAST, fuzzing, code review, and secure SDLC workflows.
• Ability to read and write software in multiple programming languages and build security tooling.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, influence without formal authority, mentoring, and collaboration with engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Automotive industry experience or experience in a complex, deadline-driven, regulated field.
• Published cybersecurity research, conference talks, technical articles, or code repositories.
• Experience with embedded software and operating system security, mobile applications, backend development, or custom security tooling.
