Spend Payment Operations Analyst (AI)

Location: Mexico, remote; hybrid option in Chihuahua. Preferred locations are Guadalajara or Chihuahua.

What you will do

• Resolve complex card declines, reimbursement questions, location-mapping issues, and ERP export tickets through Freshdesk, email, and live calls.
• Inspect transaction logs, raw data, internal admin tools, and processor portals such as Corpay to identify root causes and guide clients through resolution steps.
• Investigate platform bugs, collect payloads, logs, and reproduction steps, and submit structured Jira tickets to Engineering.
• Independently resolve undocumented edge cases and create SOPs and Notion documentation.
• Identify repetitive support tasks and build AI-assisted workflows to reduce manual effort.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in payment operations, commercial card program management, or fintech support.
• Strong knowledge of card issuing, interchange, ACH network rules, and end-to-end expense reconciliation.
• Ability to investigate raw logs, error payloads, transaction histories, ACH return codes, MCCs, and card decline reasons.
• Working knowledge of accounting and ERP integrations, including QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or R365.
• Analytical, resourceful approach to undocumented issues, with the ability to create clear SOPs.
• Experience using AI tools to interpret data and logs, plus clear communication with clients and Engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience with Corpay, Marqeta, card issuing or processing platforms, or KYB/KYC onboarding.
• Familiarity with SQL, API tools, Periscope, Freshdesk, and Jira.
• Experience building Slack workflow automations or AI-assisted scripts.
