Internal Auditor II - Information Systems

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid schedule with at least 3 days in the office and 2 days remote

Base pay: $63,300–$114,300 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Conduct independent internal audit examinations of information systems, operations, regulatory requirements, and enterprise policies.
• Evaluate control processes against internal audit requirements, procedures, and insurance, financial, and operational best practices.
• Lead audit and advisory engagements and coordinate audit project activities.
• Apply data analytics, computer-aided audit tools, database applications, spreadsheets, and web browser technology.
• Use supervisory, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills to support audit outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, a related business field, or a health-related field.
• At least 2 years of audit and audit project management experience, or 6 years of combined audit and consulting experience in a complex managed care, insurance, financial, or operational environment.
• Experience with data analytics, database and spreadsheet applications, corporate office applications, and computer-aided audit tools.
• Knowledge of audit, accounting, finance, systems principles, manual systems, and analysis.
• Strong communication, time-management, project-management, teamwork, independent-working, and business-judgment skills.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFSA.
• Knowledge of corporate health and life operations, compliance support, code of conduct, and corporate policies and procedures.
