Senior AI Scientis/ ML Engineer

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of forecasting and optimization solutions for medication inventory management.
• Develop medication diversion detection models using behavioral analytics, anomaly detection, risk scoring, and explainable machine learning.
• Translate clinical and operational needs into measurable machine learning problems and design rigorous experiments.
• Build production-ready training pipelines, inference services, batch workloads, and data integrations with AWS-native services.
• Collaborate with data engineers and MLOps engineers on feature engineering, deployment, monitoring, drift detection, evaluation, and rollback.
• Mentor engineers and junior scientists, document methodologies and architecture decisions, and communicate findings to technical, clinical, and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in machine learning, statistics, operations research, applied mathematics, computer science, or a related field; a PhD is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of ML or software engineering experience, including ownership of production ML solutions.
• At least 3 years of experience building ML services on AWS using native infrastructure and services.
• Expertise in time-series analysis, forecasting, mathematical optimization, machine learning, and deep learning.
• Strong Python skills with NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels, and PyTorch or JAX.
• Strong AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, testing, packaging, observability, and technical documentation experience; strong written and spoken English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare, pharmacy, supply chain, or regulated environments.
• Experience with Prophet, GluonTS, Nixtla, causal inference, counterfactual evaluation, time-series foundation models, experiment tracking, model registries, or inference optimization.
• PhD in a related field.
