Data Infrastructure and Systems Specialist, NA

Location: Denver, CO, Ashburn, VA, or Atlanta, GA; hybrid schedule with 3 days on site and 2 flexible days

Salary: $120,000–$125,000 base plus bonus

What you will do

• Support database tables, views, stored procedures, functions, schema changes, deployments, and documentation for internal SQL environments.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for high-volume meter-data analysis, reporting, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
• Build and maintain backend services and automation using Python, Bash, Golang, Java, and SQL for utility billing and sustainability workflows.
• Monitor data pipelines from building management and metering systems through PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Investigate meter discrepancies, trace data lineage, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate corrective actions across technical teams.
• Support monthly billing, sample and mock bill verification, new-building onboarding, commissioning, and billing-readiness activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• Two to three years of experience supporting production databases, data systems, or data-intensive applications.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL and Microsoft Excel skills for reporting, analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and reconciliation.
• Working proficiency in Python and Bash, with experience in Golang and/or Java.
• Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Lake, CI/CD, and database change-management tools such as Liquibase.
• Understanding of database structures, system integrations, data pipelines, data quality controls, performance, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional communication.
