Senior Sourcing Specialist (Robotics)

What you will do

• Build sourcing plans for hardware commodities based on criticality, lead times, and single- or dual-source options.
• Identify, evaluate, shortlist, and negotiate with suppliers, including pricing, volume tiers, tooling, payment terms, NDAs, and supply agreements.
• Coordinate supplier qualification, quality agreements, first-article inspections, and audits covering quality management, traceability, compliance, and trade compliance.
• Onboard suppliers and maintain vendor data, pricing, and lead times in the ERP system.
• Place and expedite orders for prototype, validation, pilot, and pre-series builds while tracking supplier delivery, price, and quality performance.
• Drive cost reduction, expand the qualified supplier base, and document repeatable sourcing processes and playbooks.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or new product introduction for hardware products.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications and collaborate closely with engineers.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including international trips lasting several days.
• Experience auditing suppliers or working within a quality management system such as ISO 9001.
• Working knowledge of trade compliance rules and experience using an ERP system for purchasing and vendor data.
• Qualification in engineering, supply chain, business, or a related field, with excellent English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with aerospace, drones, or other safety-critical products.
• Experience sourcing custom electromechanical parts such as plastic parts, motors, batteries, and avionics.
• Experience qualifying suppliers across multiple production regions.
• Experience with supplier scorecards and performance reporting.
