TL;DR
Senior Trade & Transportation Specialist (International Project Logistics): Developing cost-effective transportation concepts and managing complex international project shipments, including heavy lift, oversized, and special transport requirements, with an accent on logistics risk assessment, trade compliance, and stakeholder advising. Focus on selecting logistics providers, managing RFQs, optimizing total logistics costs, and improving project transportation capabilities.

Location: Hybrid role based in Baden, Aargau, Switzerland

What you will do

  • Lead logistics for complex international project shipments, including heavy-lift, oversized, and special transport.
  • Assess logistics risks and develop transportation concepts for tendering and project execution.
  • Select logistics service providers, manage RFQs, and oversee transportation execution.
  • Advise Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Supply Chain stakeholders on practical and cost-effective logistics solutions.
  • Support operational logistics activities, collaboration, continuous improvement, and broader Transport & Trade team priorities.

Requirements

  • Vocational or higher education in freight forwarding, international transportation, logistics, foreign trade, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in international transportation and project logistics, ideally involving heavy lift, oversized cargo, or industrial projects.
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding, carrier management, logistics procurement, transportation risk assessment, customs procedures, Incoterms, export controls, and international trade regulations.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to evaluate logistics solutions from a business and total-cost perspective.
  • Collaborative, hands-on approach with strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Fluent English and German required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SAP/GTS.
  • Additional language skills.
