What you will do
- Develop and enhance Java desktop software used to control scientific laboratory instruments.
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and software developers to deliver product features.
- Test and validate software functionality through interaction with laboratory instruments.
- Troubleshoot software and system issues and improve application performance, quality, and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews and improve development practices, processes, and automation.
Requirements
- Experience developing Java desktop applications.
- Experience developing software for instrument control.
- Experience testing software with physical devices or laboratory instruments.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work from Germany or Spain, either onsite or remotely according to the listed locations.
Nice to have
- Experience with scientific, laboratory, medical, or industrial instrumentation software.
- Experience with Eclipse RCP, JavaFX, Swing, or similar technologies.
