Data Architect – Tieto Tech Consulting (m/f/d) (Azure)

What you will do

• Design and architect scalable data solutions for multi-source system integration in an agricultural industry project.
• Create datasets, data models, data warehouses, and data lakes supporting analytics and reporting platforms.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and specifications.
• Design ETL/ELT processes and ensure scalability, performance, data quality, validation, and error handling.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, DBAs, and other stakeholders, communicating complex data concepts clearly.
• Document technical solutions, share knowledge, and support backend development when required.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or similar roles.
• 3+ years of experience with Azure data platform services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Storage, and Azure Logic Apps.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Spark SQL, PySpark, Delta Lake, dimensional modeling, and star schemas.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, query optimization, performance tuning, and execution plan analysis.
• Understanding of CI/CD, Git, Infrastructure as Code, Azure security concepts, APIs, data quality, and validation.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher, with strong communication, analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Power BI, reporting concepts, metrics, KPIs, and business intelligence experience.
• Azure DevOps and Azure Resource Manager templates or other Infrastructure as Code approaches.
• Knowledge of RBAC, Key Vaults, cloud security, and access management.
• Agriculture or agribusiness experience, mentoring experience, and understanding of Agile methodologies.
