Flexible Benefits Configuration Specialist

What you will do

• Configure and maintain flexible benefits platforms, including eligibility rules, calculations, rates, interfaces, reports, and communication settings.
• Support annual scheme updates, renewals, and enrolment window configuration.
• Investigate platform issues, validate data, perform testing and quality assurance, and resolve configuration problems.
• Use HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript to maintain content pages, forms, and user journeys.
• Support integrations with HRIS, benefit provider, and payroll systems, including reporting and data uploads.
• Collaborate with delivery managers, consultants, administrators, HR colleagues, clients, suppliers, and benefit providers.

Requirements

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups and data comparison, validation, and investigation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and a methodical approach to configuration, testing, and quality assurance.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, work independently, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Practical experience with HTML and CSS; familiarity with JavaScript for light scripting or interface adjustments.

Nice to have

• Experience with flexible benefits platforms such as Benifex, Zellis, Aon, Mercer, or similar systems.
• Background in HR technology, payroll, reward administration, or benefits platform implementation.
• Understanding of benefit schemes, enrolment cycles, design, build, test, and release phases.
• Knowledge of data security and GDPR requirements.
• Experience running UAT cycles and troubleshooting configuration or system issues.
