Software Engineer Intern (Jan to Jun 2027) (AI/Fintech)

Location: Singapore. Full-time, six-month placement from January through June 2027. Applicants must be current students studying towards a recognised tertiary qualification at a university in Singapore.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy a production-ready Cards or Issuing capability under mentor guidance.
• Build features across backend services, APIs, and frontend experiences, covering card lifecycle management, spend controls, and transaction visibility.
• Create technical designs, workflow diagrams, dependencies, inputs, outputs, and success criteria.
• Implement automated testing, logging, metrics, alerts, and observability dashboards.
• Deploy capabilities to production, validate them with real users, and present outcomes to the Engineering team.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Infosec, and engineering partners through reviews, documentation, standups, and showcases.

Requirements

• Current student in Singapore pursuing a formal tertiary qualification at a recognised university.
• Full-time availability for a six-month placement, ideally from January through June 2027.
• Proficiency in Python and strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to design and implement AI-driven systems that automate workflows and improve customer experiences.
• Strong system design, critical thinking, financial-services abstractions, and production-grade coding skills.
• Experience with production AI systems, engineering best practices, security, AI governance, communication, and collaboration.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Kotlin, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with MLOps, model serving, monitoring, retraining, and deployment pipelines.
• Experience with vector databases, LangChain, Ray, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other event-driven systems.
• Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure AI/ML services, GPU orchestration, and scalable model deployment.
