What you will do
- Own one scoped software engineering project from the first week through completion.
- Apply software engineering fundamentals and pragmatic development practices with guidance from a mentor and manager.
- Use AI and LLM tools for research, prototyping, debugging, testing, and documentation while applying critical judgment.
- Build scalable and reliable solutions using a modern stack including Kotlin, Kafka, Kubernetes, and React.
- Present the completed project to Airwallex teams during a project showcase.
Requirements
- Singapore-based, on-site availability for the 12-week program from early May to late July 2027.
- Penultimate-year or final-year Bachelor’s or Master’s student, or currently pursuing a PhD, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Foundational knowledge of computing and object-oriented programming.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Curiosity about AI in software engineering and the ability to evaluate, refine, or challenge AI-generated suggestions.
- Latest PDF copies of a transcript and CV showing the expected study completion date are required.
Nice to have
- Experience or interest in Kotlin, Kafka, Kubernetes, React, LLM tools, or modern software engineering workflows.
