Senior Machine Learning Engineer (MLOps)

What you will do

• Design and build scalable machine learning platforms supporting model training, deployment and serving.
• Develop highly available backend services for recommendation, search and personalisation experiences.
• Build CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code tooling and deployment frameworks for machine learning and data products.
• Design batch and real-time inference architectures using cloud-native technologies.
• Improve reliability, performance, monitoring and observability across distributed ML workloads.
• Own production services, lead incident management, contribute to architecture and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering experience designing and operating production systems at scale.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices or high-throughput backend platforms.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Kotlin, Go, Scala or similar languages.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP, Kubernetes, containerisation and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, monitoring, alerting and observability tooling.
• Experience with data-intensive systems, ML infrastructure, model serving, training or inference workloads; technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with recommendation systems, search platforms, personalisation engines or customer-facing data products.
• Knowledge of vector search, ranking systems, retrieval architectures or recommendation platforms.
• Exposure to LLMs, Generative AI, production AI systems and internal developer platforms.
