Senior Program Manager I - Flatellite (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; based at hirify.global's global headquarters

Base salary: $116,800–$160,600 USD annually. Total compensation including equity: $137,075–$196,275 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead satellite programs from blank-sheet concept through qualification, full-rate production, and flight.
• Own program rate, yield, unit cost, technical roadmaps, and strategic production decisions.
• Coordinate manufacturing, supply chain, integration, and test teams while resolving production-line risks and roadblocks.
• Make architecture and design-for-manufacturing trade-offs involving takt time, line-of-balance, rate readiness, and reliability.
• Manage strategic suppliers and high-stakes subcontracts to protect schedule and margin.
• Act as the primary contact for commercial constellation operators and support proposals with Business Development and Strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in physics, mathematics, science, or another technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of aerospace program management experience.
• End-to-end ownership of a technical program, product, or team delivered under pressure.
• Experience moving hardware and software from prototype toward high-rate production, with quantified yield, throughput, and cost improvements.
• Knowledge of takt time, line-of-balance, design-for-manufacturing, learning-curve economics, tooling, supply-chain risk, and yield risk.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required. U.S. export-control rules also require U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying refugee or asylum status, or eligibility for required government authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling satellite, aerospace, or other complex hardware production at volume.
• Experience transitioning low-volume prototypes to full-rate production while maintaining mission reliability.
• Master's degree in engineering, operations, or a related field.
• Experience with systems engineering, trade studies, interface control, requirements integrity, Jira, Confluence, and ERP/MRP tools.
• Multiple program cycles or 8+ years in aerospace or defense.
