Analyst I, Falcon Complete (Hybrid, San Antonio)

Location: USA - Remote; open to candidates in San Antonio, Texas. The position title specifies a hybrid arrangement in San Antonio and requires a 4x10 schedule including one weekend day.

Salary: $85,000–$120,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

What you will do

• Triage, investigate, and respond to detections across endpoint, identity, email, network, and cloud environments.
• Analyze EDR telemetry, logs, forensic artifacts, and network activity to determine compromise scope and root cause.
• Investigate Microsoft 365 incidents, including business email compromise and adversary-in-the-middle attacks.
• Perform basic static and dynamic malware analysis and recommend targeted remediation actions.
• Improve incident detection processes and execute countermeasures across compromised environments.
• Serve as a primary customer contact and provide clear written and verbal findings, recommendations, and response guidance.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in incident response, computer forensics, malware analysis, network analysis, systems administration, or related security operations.
• Knowledge of attack vectors, threat actor tactics, techniques, procedures, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Understanding of Windows, Mac, and/or Linux, with emphasis on Windows internals.
• Experience with identity platforms such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, or Active Directory, and with SIEM and enterprise log analysis.
• Experience using Python, PowerShell, or Bash for investigation workflows or automation, plus experience applying AI technologies to improve decision-making and efficiency.
• Relevant degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, information security, cybersecurity, or a related field; equivalent experience or training may be considered.

Nice to have

• Experience investigating host or user compromises, network breaches, organized crime, and advanced persistent threats.
• Experience with secure network architecture and troubleshooting enterprise connectivity, authentication, and configuration issues.
