Technical Writer (AI)

Location: Montreal, Canada; hybrid working available

Base salary: $90,900–$118,100 annually, depending on the applicable salary zone and primary work location.

What you will do

• Create, review, and improve AI-assisted technical content, including user and developer guides, API references, SDK documentation, and code samples.
• Contribute to content strategy for complex documentation sets across multiple products and features.
• Partner with product managers and engineers to understand technologies, audiences, and documentation needs.
• Improve documentation clarity, accuracy, usability, and consistency across products.
• Advocate for users during feature development to improve workflows and product usability.

Requirements

• Technical depth and hands-on experience with software development workflows and concepts.
• Ability to explain sophisticated technical concepts through clear, concise, user-focused documentation.
• Track record of delivering high-quality content in a fast-paced software development environment.
• Ability to guide and coach less experienced writers.
• Strong time-management and communication skills for collaboration across timezones.
• Sufficient English proficiency for frequent professional written and verbal communication with global colleagues and partners.

Nice to have

• Experience with object-oriented programming languages, game development, digital artistry, or real-time 3D development.
• Experience with source control tools such as GitHub or Subversion.
