What you will do

• Own forming operations and deliver formed products for Terran R primary structures.
• Improve roll forming and press brake processes and bring a press brake work center online.
• Develop the capability to form material sheets up to 20 feet for rocket structures.
• Create work instructions, specifications, best practices, and standardized manufacturing processes.
• Resolve live shop-floor issues and provide feedback on next-generation manufacturing technologies.
• Provide Design for Manufacturing input from development through prototype and flight builds.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or another engineering discipline, plus 2+ years of related progressive experience.
• Experience improving manufacturing processes and independently leading development projects.
• Strong fundamentals in process improvement, forming, metallic processing, and mechanics of materials.
• Knowledge of metallic manufacturing processes, tooling, inspection methods, and GD&T.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Strong 3D and 2D design and drafting skills according to ASME Y14.5M; NX is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with roll forming and press brake forming of aluminum alloys.
• Successful introduction of aerospace hardware into manufacturing, testing, and production systems.
• Experience managing projects in a fast-paced environment.
