Product Compliance Engineer – Product Safety & Cybersecurity

What you will do

• Lead product safety, regulatory, and cybersecurity compliance across the product lifecycle.
• Manage standards and certifications including UL, CSA, Intertek, TÜV, IEC, IEEE, CE, FCC, UKCA, RoHS, and REACH.
• Support product certification, regulatory approvals, and certification testing.
• Partner with Product Engineering, DevOps, Product Management, and external certification agencies to embed compliance into development.
• Develop compliance roadmaps, conduct design reviews and risk assessments, and support verification activities.
• Standardize compliance processes and introduce AI-assisted workflows to improve release efficiency and documentation quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product compliance engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of IEC/EN 61000 EMC and IEC/UL 61010 safety standards.
• Experience with industrial electronics and functional safety.
• Experience working directly with UL, TÜV, Intertek, or equivalent certification agencies.
• Strong understanding of product cybersecurity and experience supporting global product launches.
• Work location: United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with IEC 62443, IEC 61508, or the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Experience with Industrial IoT, cloud software compliance, or secure software development.
