Safety Engineer (Environmental Health and Safety)

What you will do

• Manage site environmental, health, and safety risks and recommend improvements.
• Implement and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Assess and investigate risks and incidents, determine root causes, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct and participate in audits and inspections while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with departments to integrate environmental, health, and safety requirements into operations.
• Contribute to organization-wide environmental, health, and safety policies, programs, and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Experience with hazardous material safety and safety program implementation in an industrial setting.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.
• Ability to develop and maintain emergency response plans.
• Strong critical thinking, collaboration, strategic thinking, learning agility, and execution skills.
