Survey Operations Specialist (Airborne LiDAR)

Location: Concord, Ontario, Canada; international travel of up to 25% is required.

Salary: CAD 56,200–74,900 per year.

What you will do

• Plan and execute laboratory, flight, and field testing of airborne LiDAR and camera systems.
• Create flight plans that maximize sensor performance and survey quality.
• Install, configure, integrate, and validate hardware, firmware, and software.
• Conduct operational testing, troubleshoot systems, and resolve technical issues.
• Download, process, and verify survey data while documenting test results, procedures, and technical findings.
• Provide customer and internal technical support, training, software demonstrations, and technical presentations.

Requirements

• Experience operating airborne LiDAR or camera systems from fixed-wing aircraft or helicopters.
• Experience with geospatial, surveying, or mapping technologies.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, GIS, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and passport, with the ability to travel internationally up to 25%.
• Ability to work aboard small aircraft and lift equipment when required.
