Associate Director, Analytical Services (Biotech)

Location: Framingham, United States; 5-day on-site expectation

Salary: $177,000–$229,500 base pay annually, plus eligible performance incentive bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Provide scientific and technical leadership for the Analytical Services laboratory.
• Plan and prioritize analytical testing, allocate resources, and align activities with project and organizational objectives.
• Lead analytical method development, qualification, validation, transfer, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
• Review, interpret, and approve analytical data and reports while ensuring compliance with approved methods, procedures, and quality standards.
• Support process development, product characterization, manufacturing investigations, technology transfer, regulatory submissions, and commercial manufacturing.
• Lead, coach, and develop personnel while managing laboratory equipment, consumables, budgets, and operational resources.

Requirements

• BSc degree in a relevant biological science.
• At least 8 years of experience in analytical sciences, analytical method development, or analytical services, preferably in a GMP-compliant environment.
• Knowledge of analytical method development, qualification, validation, transfer, and lifecycle management principles.
• Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and practical experience supporting GMP operations.
• Experience with statistical analysis, computer processing, technical troubleshooting, and data review.
• Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, and cross-functional influence skills.

Nice to have

• MSc, PhD, or another postgraduate degree in biochemistry or a related science.
