Sr. Principal Engineer (C++)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States of America; willingness to relocate to Austin is required.

What you will do

• Implement, enhance, test, and troubleshoot code and scripts throughout the development lifecycle.
• Document software development work through code comments and technical specifications.
• Review code for defects, consistency, maintainability, and reusability, and recommend improvements.
• Investigate and resolve defects across the codebase.
• Translate technical requirements into reliable, scalable software solutions with cross-functional partners.
• Contribute to system architecture and continuous improvements in development practices, tools, and processes.

Requirements

• Ph.D. with 6+ years, master’s degree with 8+ years, or bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of professional C++ programming experience.
• Experience with software development and testing in Windows, Linux, and/or macOS environments.
• Strong communication, presentation, organization, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
• Must meet applicable clearance requirements for handling ITAR-controlled data.
• Must be willing to consider relocation to Austin, Texas.

Nice to have

• Experience with system architecture, OpenGL programming, and desktop engineering.
• Experience with computational techniques in discrete and/or analytic geometry.
• Experience with computational fluid dynamics.
