Detection Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Build and expand threat detection model decks, including coverage for Endpoint and Kubernetes.
• Investigate cybersecurity incidents and analyze model alerts, associated traffic, and activity in depth.
• Respond to customer queries and cyber incidents, prioritizing time-sensitive and high-priority issues.
• Develop new detection models and identify improvements to existing models.
• Collaborate with Development, Analyst, and customer-facing teams.
• Enhance internal tooling and processes.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience using the hirify.global product suite for thorough investigations.
• Experience with the Platform model editor, including creating custom models or tuning existing models.
• Familiarity with hirify.global Network, Identity, Cloud, Response, and Endpoint products.
• Knowledge of basic cybersecurity concepts and current cybersecurity trends.
• Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently, proactively, and with self-direction.

Nice to have

• Experience with endpoint-based security platforms and endpoint telemetry detections.
• Experience working with GitLab.
• Experience in any programming language.
