Software Engineer III, Cloud - Falcon Asset Manager Platform (Hybrid) (Golang)

Location: Hybrid, Sunnyvale, California, United States

Base salary: $120,000–$180,000 per year, plus potential bonuses, equity grants, health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

What you will do

• Design and build backend microservices in Golang for multiple data-processing pipelines.
• Own application inventory functionality from data ingestion and enrichment through storage and API layers.
• Build pipelines that ingest billions of events daily and aggregate them into a unified application inventory.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, UI Engineering, Product, and other stakeholders to deliver scoped product increments.
• Improve services through testing, logging, metrics, observability, reliability engineering, and code quality.
• Launch and support features used by millions of users while contributing to technical direction and mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of overall software engineering experience, with an average expected experience level of 6–10 years.
• 3+ years of experience with Golang, Kafka, Cassandra, or similar technologies.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, including queues, concurrency, sharding, and partitioning.
• Experience with microservice architectures, multi-region deployments, observability, reliability engineering, and complex production debugging.
• Strong understanding of testing, peer code review, resilient architecture design, and full-stack troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including integrating AI into daily workflows and applying responsible AI practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Cassandra, OpenSearch, or Pinot.
• Previous cybersecurity experience.
