Principal Security Engineering and Operations (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Set technical direction and operational governance for enterprise security platform engineering.
• Design, engineer, and operate zero-trust, SASE/SSE, network security, vulnerability management, AI gateway, and SaaS protection platforms.
• Own platform health, upgrades, capacity, resilience, lifecycle management, and vendor escalations.
• Define metrics for coverage, control effectiveness, service levels, tool health, and risk reduction.
• Support PCI-DSS, SOX, GLBA, OCC, and FFIEC audits and regulatory examinations.
• Lead proofs of concept, capability evaluations, tool rationalization, and cross-functional security initiatives.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in information technology, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, network security, or platform engineering.
• Deep experience with at least one SSE/SASE platform, including ZTNA, secure web gateway policy, segmentation, connector architecture, and operating model design.
• Strong networking knowledge covering TCP/IP, routing, DNS, TLS/PKI, proxies, tunneling, and segmentation.
• Experience with IPS and next-generation firewalls, vulnerability management, identity integrations, ServiceNow, SIEM platforms, and enterprise reporting.
• Python, PowerShell, REST/JSON, technical documentation, senior stakeholder communication, mentoring, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Right to work in Ireland is required; employment permit sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• AI and LLM security experience, including AI gateways, prompt-injection defenses, OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, or MITRE ATLAS.
• ServiceNow Vulnerability Response or USEM implementation experience.
• Terraform/IaC, low-code automation, or experience in financial services and other regulated industries.
