Senior Lead, Security Engineering and Operations (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Design, engineer, and operate enterprise security platforms across zero-trust, SASE/SSE, network security, vulnerability management, AI guardrails, and SaaS protection.
• Own IPS, next-generation firewall, vulnerability scanning, secure web gateway, CASB, cloud access protection, browser isolation, and secure remote access capabilities.
• Implement AI gateway controls governing how users and applications consume LLMs and AI services.
• Integrate security platforms with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response, ITSM, CMDB, SIEM platforms, and enterprise reporting workflows.
• Support platform upgrades, capacity, resilience, lifecycle management, operational health, vendor escalations, and cross-functional security initiatives.
• Define security metrics, author operational runbooks, and support audits and regulatory examinations with traceable evidence.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in information technology, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, network security, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience with at least one SSE/SASE platform, including ZTNA, secure web gateway policy, segmentation, connector architecture, and operating model design.
• Working knowledge of IPS and next-generation firewall platforms, vulnerability management, networking, TCP/IP, routing, DNS, TLS/PKI, proxies, tunneling, and segmentation.
• Experience with SAML/OIDC, Entra ID, conditional access, Python, PowerShell, REST/JSON, ServiceNow, SIEM platforms, and enterprise reporting.
• Experience in regulated environments involving control evidence, operational resilience, risk acceptance, issue management, and audit or regulatory responses.
• Right to work in Ireland is required; employment permit sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI gateways, prompt-injection defenses, the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, or MITRE ATLAS.
• ServiceNow Vulnerability Response or USEM implementation experience.
• Low-code automation or Terraform/IaC experience.
