Manager, Data & AI Review Enablement (AI)

Location: US - Foster City, CA; at least 3 days per week in the office. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $156,800–$251,100 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Drive and improve the Data & AI Use Case Assessment process for new AI and data initiatives.
• Review complex AI and data use cases, evaluate risks against policies, and document actionable recommendations.
• Lead consultations with legal, compliance, technology, privacy, analytics, product, and innovation stakeholders.
• Identify policy gaps and coordinate updates to data and AI governance frameworks.
• Lead training, workshops, internal communications, presentations, reports, and dashboards on responsible data use.
• Connect review findings with broader data governance strategy and support emerging policy initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 2 years with an advanced degree, or 0 years with a PhD.
• Experience in data science, data governance, data privacy, or a related field.
• Understanding of AI/ML technologies, especially generative AI, large language models, ethical AI, and responsible data use frameworks.
• Technical proficiency in quantitative analysis, statistics, coding, data tooling, and interpretation of complex datasets and algorithms.
• Knowledge of data and AI regulations, including the EU AI Act, GDPR, and CCPA.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and ability to translate technical or legal requirements into clear business guidance.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments or fintech.
• Six or more years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or advanced-degree equivalent experience.
