Field Reimbursement Manager (Rare Blood Disorders)

Location: US (Remote); assigned geography is the Mountain West, with travel to meetings, trainings, programs, and customer locations as necessary. The position is available to US and Puerto Rico residents only.

Salary: $122,250.00–$176,583.33 per year.

What you will do

• Serve as a subject matter expert on rare blood disorder patient support programs, payer claims, reimbursement, billing, coding, financial assistance, and alternative funding options.
• Educate healthcare providers and office personnel on benefits investigations, prior authorizations, appeals, approved coding, medical and pharmacy benefits, and patient support offerings.
• Resolve payer coverage and patient access barriers while maintaining compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Develop and execute business plans aligned with brand strategies and tailored to the assigned geography and customer context.
• Monitor commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid coverage, coding, reimbursement, specialty pharmacy, and utilization management developments.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, healthcare providers, and program vendors to deliver patient and provider support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or life science industries, specifically in pharmacy reimbursement or patient access.
• Ability to travel within the assigned geography and attend meetings, trainings, and programs as needed.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Working knowledge of payer environments, utilization management, specialty pharmacy reimbursement, and the impact of coverage policies on patient access.

Nice to have

• Experience launching hemophilia or other complex specialty products.
• Rare hematology, field reimbursement management, specialty pharmacy reimbursement, or patient and provider support services experience.
• Experience supporting self-infused products and working in a matrix environment.
