Senior Software Engineer (Go & Kubernetes)

Location: Remote within the United States; the role requires U.S. citizenship.

What you will do

• Develop robust Go applications and microservices using Kubernetes controllers, operators, and custom resource definitions.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, packaging, and deployment to secure Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code and GitOps solutions with Helm and Kustomize.
• Collaborate with product managers, security teams, and engineers to deliver software aligned with federal compliance standards.
• Troubleshoot application performance, networking, and container orchestration issues.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience, including 4 or more years with Go.
• Advanced proficiency in Golang and experience writing clean, maintainable, idiomatic code.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes deployment and development patterns, manifests, controllers, Helm charts, and RBAC.
• Strong experience with containerization, Linux environments, and Git-based workflows.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with secure software development in regulated environments.
• Familiarity with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or other federal cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of ingress controllers, service meshes such as Istio, and load balancing.
• Experience with Vue.js, NuxtJS, or other JavaScript frameworks.
