Middle Manual QA Engineer (Pensions)

Location: Fully remote, globally distributed; the company is London-based.

What you will do

• Manually test frontend and backend features for the Pensions team.
• Test integrations with government systems, external partners, and third-party providers.
• Perform API testing with Postman and validate backend data using SQL queries.
• Use proxy tools to inspect and validate requests and responses.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, marketers, and external partners to clarify requirements.
• Support regression testing for mobile applications when needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of manual QA experience focused on web applications.
• Strong knowledge of test design techniques and critical thinking.
• Hands-on API testing experience with Postman.
• Technical literacy in HTML/CSS, client-server architecture, and basic debugging.
• Ability to write SQL queries and use proxy tools such as Charles or Fiddler.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience testing Android or iOS applications.
• Interest in improving QA workflows and processes.
• Familiarity with automation tools or AI-assisted testing.
• Experience in product-first or marketing-driven environments.
