Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Linux)

Location: Hybrid, Poland; candidates must be based in Poland for the 5-month cooperation period and be open to office visits in Katowice or Gdańsk. Three-shift schedule: 08:00–16:00, 09:00–17:00, or 10:00–18:00. Project starts on November 1, 2026.

What you will do

• Administer Linux-based servers running Ubuntu and RHEL.
• Install, maintain, and update infrastructure software and services.
• Configure and troubleshoot DNS, routing, firewalls, syslog, and server–network communication.
• Automate infrastructure processes using Ansible, Bash, and Python.
• Maintain VMware virtualized environments and support performance optimization and incident resolution.
• Provide source code, support compilation and deployment, and validate application operation through functional testing.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of general IT experience.
• Strong hands-on Linux systems administration and DevOps experience.
• Knowledge of Ansible and GitLab.
• Fluent English at B2/C1 level.
• Availability for a 5-month project starting in November 2026 and ability to work from or visit the Katowice or Gdańsk offices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• PHP development and scripting experience.
• MySQL or MariaDB knowledge.
• French, Perl, Python, Webservices, or network configuration experience with TACACS and RANCID.
• Experience with AI.
