Practice Lead, Project Management (AI)

What you will do

• Set the strategic direction and operating standards for the Project Management practice.
• Lead, coach, and develop Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and Portfolio Managers.
• Oversee project and programme delivery, governance, risks, dependencies, quality, budgets, utilisation, and customer outcomes.
• Own resource planning, capacity management, forecasting, utilisation, revenue, and profitability performance.
• Build trusted client relationships and participate in executive discussions, workshops, proposals, estimates, and Statements of Work.
• Lead adoption of AI-enabled project and programme management practices, reusable assets, templates, and delivery frameworks.

Requirements

• Significant experience managing complex projects, programmes, and delivery portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches.
• Proven experience in people leadership, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning.
• Commercial awareness, including utilisation, forecasting, budgeting, and project profitability.
• Experience in consulting, professional services, or technology delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, risk management, governance, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, or equivalent.
• Experience leading transformations or practice development initiatives.
• Experience delivering Microsoft or enterprise technology projects.
• Experience supporting pre-sales and business development activities.
